Foundations of Achievement
As we build the foundation upon which Habits of Wealth rests, we need to take a look inside the achieving mind. First realize achievers are a highly diverse group. While focusing on achievement framed by entrepreneurial thought and behavior, we also acknowledge that not all achievers are entrepreneurs—and not all entrepreneurs are achievers. The definition of entrepreneur says nothing about achieving anything. Indeed, entrepreneurship requires only acceptance of the risk of a business or enterprise.
This book, then, is not about entrepreneurs. It's about achievers, many of whom mold their particular style of success around principles which are entrepreneurial. That makes them entrepreneurial achievers. It's when the two come together that magic occurs.
Here is a look inside an achiever's mind—a peek at some of the characteristics and habits forming the foundation of this book.
