4. Entrepreneurial Achievers Are Functionally Focused
Action requires not only that something gets done, but that the right thing gets done. Functional focus allows that to happen.
Highly focused individuals never begin a journey without reading a map. What good is it to travel 100 miles, only to find on arrival that you drove the wrong direction? Focus requires contemplation of the result, not just the process.
Functional focus usually occurs in a planned environment. An achiever working with a strategic plan has a much better shot at drawing a bead on his or her target and keeping it in sight—than someone without a written guide. Focus visits the organized mind. So it's no surprise that planning is a soulmate of the functionally focused individual.
Focused achievers know what they're doing. Functionally focused achievers, however, also know where they're going and burn the least amount of energy getting there.
